The Center for Speech and Language Technologies (C-SaLT) was founded in May 2015 at the Information Technology University, Punjab with an aim to contribute towards Speech and Language Technologies research for languages of developing countries and to employ these technologies to assist in socio-economic development of low-literate and non-affluent people through better information access.
